This is our second time at these cabins – we stayed at Cabin Creekwood about 20 years ago, and we left the girls at home that time. Now we have them with us, as well as our son-in-law!
Saturday we had an exquisite walk up from Sherando Lake to the Lookout Rock for a picnic. Yesterday we walked down from Slacks Overlook to White Rock Falls, which is as gorgeously full of water as it ever is.
Lucy, the Black Lab-Border Collie mix, had happy times with Toby Jax. Cabin Mountainwood has the perfect floor plan for four adults and a dog. We were never in each other’s way nor did we feel cramped.
May God greatly bless the Horst family and their ministry here at these wonderful mountain cabins, and may future guests be touched by His presence out here in the natural world of the Virginia mountains.
