Folly Mills Loop:

This ride clocks in at 21.8 miles and is a nice brisk ride through old orchards, and rolling farmlands. You'll notice more traffic in Staunton, near the end of the route. You'll start at Thornrose Avenue.

The Middlebrook Loop:

This ride is 9.4 miles long and begins in a historic village that was originally laid out in the 1790's, near the library. The only folks you are likely to see along the ride are friendly farmers. IT begins at SR 252 and continues on roads: Middlebrook, Cales Springs, Shemariah, Summerdean, Mish Barn and then back to Middlebrook.

Want to do some off-road Biking in Virginia? Check out the Grottoes which is a path between Mountain View Park and Grand Caverns Park. This trail will take you near and by the South River. Also, the Rocktown Trails in Harrisonburg are fantastic. This trail system has three different types of trails depending on the degree of difficulty that you are comfortable with when biking. It begins at Hillandale Park.
