Welcome to your vacation! Cabin Creekwood offers four unique, pet-friendly cabins in the peaceful surroundings of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Waynesboro Virginia. Our cabins range in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms, and each is fully furnished to offer all the comforts of home, complete with stocked kitchens, BBQ grills, air conditioning, fireplaces, and woodstoves. Each of our cabins has its own unique charm with modern luxury in a mountain setting.

 Location is everything when planning a vacation, and few places offer the peace and quiet found at Cabin Creekwood. While the cabins offer privacy, our central location means you’re just a few short miles from exciting attractions like Wintergreen Ski Resort, the George Washington National Forest, numerous Wineries and Microbreweries, and Sherando Lake. The cabins are just 2 hours from Richmond, 3 hours from Washington DC, and 4 hours from Norfolk, making it easy to escape the city and find relaxation in the Blue Ridge Mountains

Springtime in the mountains is a magical experience. The snow begins to melt, and the once barren landscape comes to life with the vibrant colors of wildflowers. The air is crisp and fresh, and the sound of rushing water from the streams and waterfalls fills the air. The temperature is perfect for hiking and exploring, and the views from the mountaintops are breathtaking. It's a time of renewal and growth, and being surrounded by nature in the mountains during springtime is truly a rejuvenating experience.

You could also consider visiting a national park, such as Shenandoah National Park , where you can explore the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. The nearby Appalachian Trail offers a unique and unforgettable outdoor experience for hikers and nature lovers. Whether you're an experienced hiker or a novice, the Appalachian Trail offers something for everyone. You could plan a day hike or a multi-day backpacking trip, depending on your skill level and interests. Along the way, you'll encounter stunning vistas, cascading waterfalls, and diverse wildlife, including black bears, deer, and birds of prey.

A drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway is a breathtakingly beautiful experience that offers stunning vistas of the Appalachian Mountains. Along the way, you'll encounter a variety of scenic overlooks, hiking trails, and historic sites. One of the unique features of the Blue Ridge Parkway is its accessibility and affordability. There are no admission fees to enter the parkway, and there are plenty of opportunities to stop and explore along the way. Whether you're interested in hiking, picnicking, or simply enjoying the scenic beauty of the mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway offers something for everyone.

                                                                       Luray Caverns:  The Caverns are open year round, did you know that the caverns remain at a constant 54 degrees regardless of the out side temperature.

Hiking: Trails like the Appalachian Trail, along with other local trails offer beautiful views and a chance to experience the pristine nature up close.

Photography: The landscapes with new Spring awakenings  provide excellent opportunities for photographers.

Festivals: Many towns host Spring  festivals celebrating the arrival of the time of renewal,  featuring local crafts, food, and music.

Wine Tours: The region is home to several wineries that offer tastings and tours, often with beautiful views of the vineyards just coming to life and just a beehive of activity.

Those of you who are inclined to be physical, we are close to many hiking trails and fishing streams, additionally the Appalachian trail, Multiple Caverns and Waterfalls.

 First off, don’t miss the Shenandoah National Park. It’s a gem tucked away in the heart of the mountains. You can hike to waterfalls, watch the wildlife, and if you’re feeling adventurous, take a night hike under the stars. The park offers a variety of trails for every skill level, from leisurely strolls to challenging climbs. (check with SNP concerning conditions as they close skyline drive when affected by inclement weather. Make sure to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenic vistas from one of the many overlooks. You might even spot a black bear or a majestic deer, reminding you of the untouched beauty that still exists in this world.

If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, check out the local farmers’ markets. The smells of fresh produce and the sound of live music fill the air as you wander through rows of colorful fruits and veggies, handmade crafts, and artisanal goods. It’s a great way to support the community and get a taste of the local flavor. Plus, you can stock up on supplies for your hiking trips or find ingredients for a delicious spring repast.

For a more cultural experience, the cities of Harrisonburg and Charlottesville are just a short drive away is known for its historic architecture, and nearby Melrose Caverns, while Charlottesville boasts Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson and UVA.
