“I have been coming to Cabin Creekwood for many years – ever since my first husband passed away and a friend invited me to go with a group. We had a delightful time and the atmosphere in the mountains is just great.
Now, I get a group together once or twice a year and we always enjoy the cabin’s
hospitality. Cabin Oakwood fits the bill for us. The girls (aged 40 – 65) come from Radford, Fredericksburg, Newport News and Williamsburg. Usually, this is the only time during the year that some of us see each other. The rule has always been that everyone does what they want during the day no questions asked, whether it’s just reading a book, doing crafts, playing games, or a couple of us going to a nearby town to shop. Then at night we take turns cooking and sharing what we did during the day. Sometimes we make a fire in back and thank the Lord for good friends and good times.
