For years, we’ve recommended Star B Stables to our Virginia cabin rental guests for horseback riding in Virginia. That is, until owner Dale Bartley passed away in the summer of 2008. Since then, we’ve struggled with finding a place closeby that guests could use. Many of the stables that used to offer rides have recently stopped that option–I’m not really sure why.
The company we settled on was Appalachian Horse Adventures, located in Montebello. Now don’t get me wrong…our guests who have gone with them rave about their experience! The only problem is…they are a good 30 minutes away, on the other side of the mountains.
So you can imagine my pleasure when I received a call from Faye Bartley, Dale’s wife. They finally have everything in order to begin offering rides again! And they’re only 20 minutes away.
So now you have two horseback riding options when visiting our Virginia cabin rentals, Appalachian Horse Adventures, and Star B Stables. Either way, you’re sure to have a great time at our Virginia mountain cabins when you include a trail ride in your itinerary.
